When I first talked to the Bride Lauren about her dreamy Laguna Beach wedding, I knew it was going to be epic! I just wasn’t prepared for how absolutely stunning it was going to be. She got ready at Pacific Edge Hotel, a cute chic hotel on the water’s edge in Laguna Beach. Her bridal suite was filled with natural light and white walls and chic coastal decor. A photographer’s dream. Her bridal squad was an amazing group of beautiful girls, who were on-point with their attentiveness and kindness. They made sure Lauren didn’t have to worry about a single thing! That my friends, is #squadgoals!
The couple decided to do their first look at Main Beach, on a crowded Saturday afternoon. I have to admit, a little panic set it. It was hot. It was crowded. And the lighting situation was less than perfect. But that’s what I love about shooting weddings. You never know what challenges you will be faced with, no matter how much you try to prepare. And the results were so incredibly rewarding! The entire bridal party walked on the beach (some in flip-flops) for the most amazing bridal portrait session ever! And as a reward ( because we had plenty of time to kill), we stopped at a local bar to “cool off”. That’s how laid back the entire bridal party was. I immediately knew this was going to make for an incredibly fun reception.
At the reception venue, Tivoli Too, I was greeted by the most amazing staff, who welcomed me as if I too were a guest of the party. (Tivoli Too was recently sold and changed their name to Seven7Seven, located at 777 Laguna Canyon Road). Oh My God! Amazing views, amazing light, amazing hospitality, and the cutest tucked away wedding venue I have ever seen! I can’t rave enough about how amazing this place is! I mean, I think the photos speak for themselves.
Congratulations Lauren & David!
